My name is Nick Shelton, and not too long ago I was just like you...
Let me tell you a quick story about how I struggled with confidence as a young athlete.
I was struggling with feeling like I had extra potential I was leaving on the table.
And I was getting more and more frustrated that I wasn't playing to my capabilities.

The problem I had was I didn't know how to build a strong mental game...
I didn't know that mental imagery and visualization could improve my sports performance!
And that's when I knew I HAD to make a change...
So, I tried asking my coach for advice. That didn't work at all.
Then, I just tried training harder and harder, but that got me nowhere.
Then I found books on the mental side of performance, and it worked a little better.
And that's when I learned what it meant to reframe my self-image... the image of who I was in my mind.
I found out I had beliefs about myself that literally prevented me from performing well.
And guess what? When I came back, I was a completely new athlete!
I no longer got rattled from mistakes.
I played more aggressive and tenacious.
I craved the pressure of the game on the line.
And that's when I realized the real problem!
The real problem is in the false beliefs and thoughts that I'd created years ago. THEY were the ones keeping me from playing from my true potential!
For years my coaches led me to believe I already reached my potential, and when I figured out that it wasn't true, I was finally able to break out of their chains and get the results I deserved!
Once I realized many other athletes were more physically talented than me, but they lacked the key...
